Paradiso kisses

As a boy, Salvatore spends all his free time at the local movie house.  During the films, he often hears the audience booing whenever there are missing segments,  a local priest has ordered anything romantic to be censored. The deleted scenes lay in a pile in the projection room.

Years later, Salvatore returns to his childhood home, and receives a reel from the widow of the former movie house projectionist. It contains all those censored scenes...mostly kisses.

A good soak

There are shower people
and there are bath people.

I've always enjoyed a good soak.

For me, the ultimate luxury is a
freestanding bathtub. Add a plaster vaulted ceiling,
a French window and muted blue tiles and
you can call me gobsmacked!

Yan Nascimbene

I was so sad to hear that Yan Nascimbene passed away this month.

Watercolor requires great precision and agility, but the delicate light and
refined layout of Yan's watercolor paintings made them truly magical.

Book in a box

Most of my books are in storage, but when we meet again I'll be open to
purchasing a great bookcase like this one:
