Bob Beamon=greatness

Start the new year with a moment of finesse, magic and grace. At the 1968 Olympics held in Mexico City, Bob Beamon set a world record for the long jump, virtually leaping out of the human race with an astonishing jump measuring 8.90 meters (29 ft. 2½ in.), a record held for 23 years. He reacts first with delight, and then collapses, overwhelmed by the sheer audacity of his feat. It's a gift to have these moments forever at our fingertips!
