The art of war






This week, the Tate Britain unveiled a new art exhibit in their Duveen sculpture galleries. A Sea Harrier jet that serviced the Royal Navy over Bosnia, and a Royal Air Force Jaguar used during Desert Storm were installed by artist Fiona Banner. The contrast between the sleek industrial design of the war planes and the elegant limestone and granite of the gallery is one of unsettling beauty.
