A silk purse

The unspoken rule with vintage furniture is to make every effort to preserve the original finish. Patina can be great, but rusty to the point of useless is another thing altogether. I bought a neglected Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase that had good bones but little else. After taking it to Sundial Powder Coating (powder coating is a paint system used on motorcycles and automobiles that is substantially more durable than enamel paint), it looks fantastic!
