I've been collecting educational charts for nearly ten years. This is the finest I've seen; circa 1937, Chart of Evolution from Norway, illustrated by Borgny Bay. It measures roughly 4' high, x 6' wide (116cm x 175cm).

My grandmother painted this. The original is awesome! The inside joke is that my grandfather modeled for the human in the chart....
I wrote to the University of Norway, Oslo - Science Library and they directed me to a book titled, "Dyreriket : inndeling, slektskap, utvikling" by Heintz and Martinsen: https://www.nb.no/items/0fd500e00d9c452ef3e1615756435d86?searchText= Now I just need to find a copy of this book, it should have the key for the Borgny Bay illustration! Thus far I have been unable to find a digital or hard copy, if anyone fairs better than I, please post here.

WoW! Your Grandmother was Borgny Bay? Where is the original painting? I'm fascinated!
It is owned by the Scientific Institute of Oslo by Tøyen and is very close to the Munch Museum.
Does anyone have a copy of the key for the numbers, i.e. what species are which?
I'm also looking for the key.
