Spicy

Mild by today's standards, the Spicy series of the 1930's and 1940's are the most coveted
pulp magazines. Along with Spicy Adventures, there was also Spicy Mystery and Spicy
Detective. 'Spicy' is an odd descriptive for lurid stories with scantily clad women,
bondage, and racial stereotypes.

Five covers by Harry Lemon Parkhurst (aka H.L.V. Parkhurst)
