Slow boat

Images from The Life of Pi

I've just read The Life of Pi which has been on my list for years. The trailer for the upcoming film looks gorgeous, immediately conjuring up images of paintings by Henri Rousseau and Maxfield Parrish. It will be interesting to see how director Ang Lee brings the fantastic story of a young man and a Bengal tiger adrift on a lifeboat to the screen. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the movie, especially knowing the tiger looks real. A majestic feline is not a thing for motion capture but neither is a live tiger
rocking in a boat with a young actor.
