44 Double Action

The world was a different place in the early 1900's, but manufacturers still relied on effective advertising campaigns to sell their products to the public. Smith and Wesson commissioned Frederic Remington, Dan Smith and G.W. Peters to paint idealized action scenes depicting their 44 Double Action Revolver in use. Below, Dan Smith's painting The Hostiles.
