Censorship










Postal relics from WWI and WWII, when postal censorship was standard practice for many governments. Post offices regarded the following contents forbidden: photos, diagrams, names of superiors or comrades, details about weapons, locations, intentions or territory, critical comments with regard to the army or government, statements suggesting espionage or sabotage, propaganda, or rumors of all types.
